Tram Tours
The two-hour Everglades Tram Tour through the Shark Valley section of Everglades National Park is actually a South Florida ecotour that also provides a wonderful opportunity for group tours. Shark Valley naturalists escort all of our tours, and they are fully prepared to make your journey a memorable one. Besides giving insight into the ecosystem as a whole, your naturalist will also help to point out some of the “hidden” aspects of the Everglades that help to make this a world-renowned wetlands. The open vehicles used on our tram tours allow visitors to view wildlife within the sawgrass prairies on either side of the tram.
Everglades Observation Deck
At the halfway point of your Everglades tour, a 45-foot high observation deck gives you an opportunity to enjoy the tranquil vistas of the Everglades, which extend outward 20 miles in all directions. A very gradually sloped ramp provides easy access to the observation tower deck, and every part of the ramp and deck provides chances to view something different.
Reserve Your Spot For Our Everglades Tours
Visitation is highest from December 26th through April 30th, and reservations are highly recommended during this period. You may reserve seats on the 10, 2, and 4:00 trams on line or over the phone if available, but you must pick up your tickets at least 30 minutes before your scheduled tour time. Space is very limited. During the winter season, always give yourself extra time for entering Everglades National Park due to high volume and possible full lot closure delays.
Tram tours are accessible for persons with disabilities. Please call ahead so that our staff will be ready for any special needs that you may have.
Shark Valley does not have any restaurant facilities available within the park. A vending machine with drinks is available near the tram tours office, as well as a variety of packaged items and drinks in the tour lobby.
For reservations or any special questions about the tours, you can e-mail or call us at (305) 221-8455.
